This weather is crazy...

I had to post a few more pictures of the snow here. It literally has not stopped snowing all day, and is supposed to snow for the next week I believe. Here we are out enjoying the snow and having fun building a snowman.

A few Christmas pics

Here are some Christmas pictures in no particular order..a few are from Christmas Eve in our new PJ's and putting together toys, and a few from Christmas morning. Hope everyone had a great Christmas!

Gingerbread Houses

Since it snowed a ton yesterday we decided that making gingerbread houses was a good activity. So some friends came over and we had a ton of fun. Mike and Jason were not into at first but once they started they got a little carried away with their creations, and my humble little gingerbread house was demoted as the "pool house" for their mansions.

Getting started
Mike getting serious about it all

Me and the gingerbread shack
Jaxon taking a break from all the fun
The gingerbread village-notice my pool house in the back :(

We went last week to visit Santa for the first time. The boys did great. Jaxon was a little nervous and Crew could not take his eyes off him, I love how he is just studying him in the first pic.

Love Em

So one of my best friends is a very talented graphic designer and has designed these posters of the six B's by President Hinkley. Its no run of the mill crafty sign (not that there is anything wrong with that) I just love the little artistic flair this has and can't wait to put it in my house. They are 11"x11" silk screened posters - this picture is shown with a frame from Ikea (not included) and the cost is $25. If you are interested in ordering one you can contact her at I think they would be great Christmas gifts!

Crew Got a Fat Lip

Poor guy was just crawling in the kitchen when Jaxon jumped off his chair and landed right on top of him...his face hit the floor.

New Favorite Pastime

Jaxon loves to hold Crew in the laundry basket and have us push them around the house.

So tonight Jaxon poured an ENTIRE bottle of vinegar on our couch. Ya, it doesn't smell very good. My couch cushions smell like dirty feet. Does anyone have any ideas on getting the smell out?

More Halloween

We went to our church Halloween party tonight. I don't think Dog and Beth were ready to make their church appearance but we dressed the boys up as Dolphins football players. They made some pretty cute ones I must say.

Halloween Party

We went to a Halloween party last weekend at our friends and had a lot of fun. This is the first time Mike and I have ever dressed up for Halloween together. I'd say we did a pretty good job on our costumes. We even won best costume! And here we are as..
Dog the Bounty Hunter and his BIG and beautiful wife Beth- I cannot believe I am posting this picture-it may only stay up for a limited time
Here are a few more costumes that were there..
Bleeker and Juno

Artist in the making...

Today I let Jaxon try painting for the first time. We did watercolor paints and acrylics. I was pleasantly surprised because he is not really a fan of coloring, but he could not get enough of the paints. I guess he just needs a blank canvas so his creativity can flow. Here are a few action shots.

The masterpieces...

One last picture..Mikes family was here this past weekend and I got ready one morning and walked out of my room and Cindy saw me and started to laugh. She took me out in the living room and there was Aly wearing the same thing...We buy a lot of the same clothes so it was bound to happen. Whenever we go shopping together we will go off and look by ourselves and then when we find eachother we will be holding many of the same clothing items.

Seven Quirks

I was tagged to post seven quirks about myself.

1. I hate feet. I will not touch and I HATE to be touched by anyones bare feet. It makes me cringe. They are disgusting. I think you get the point.

2. I love pretty much everything from the 80's. Ok well not everything, but i do love 80's music and movies. They are the best. My husband gets really annoyed with all my 80's mixes, he thinks they are terrible.

3. I constantly am re-arranging things in my house. It a little bit of an obsession. The thing is, most people would never know because most of the time, after I have moved things like fifty times I end up putting things back where they were to begin with cause thats where I like it best. But I do obsess about it until I am completely happy with how I have arranged them. I know...probably a complete waste of time, but what can you do?

4. I cannot handle loud drives me nuts. I'm kind of the same way with little repetitive noises or when someone next to you moves their leg, or taps a pen...ok I am done. I think that was like five things in one.

5. I want dessert or a treat every night. I always need something sweet after I eat. I don't know if this qualifies as a quirk, but we are counting it.

6. I have been known to break out in really weird spastic dances. I have toned it down in my old age, but anyone that really knows me (my college roomates) can attest that this is true-Greta made me put this one.

7. I check that the doors are locked like fifty times before I go to bed. Its weird...I know they are locked but I always check again, just to make sure

Well there you have it...7 quirks. I tag Steff, Michelle, and Raschell

Last few months

I haven't posted anything too great recently. I am terrible at taking my camera places. But here are a couple of the very few I have taken the past little while...

Not too thrilled about going on a walk

So happy about all the toys!

The boys decked out in their Dolphins gear for the game...they are Mikes favorite team (lets hope they do a little better this season than last year...)
